Title:                 Reliability Engineer, Exempt

reports to:       Senior Reliability Engineer

function:             This position is responsible for application of process (hardware and software) tools to accomplish high-level reliability and risk engineering in Syngas and Petroleum Refinery industries.  Position is focused on the integration of reliability and risk services that are further customized for the benefit of the customer, i.e. increase output, reduce maintenance cost and extend lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities

1.      Application of advanced tools (infrared, flue gas analyzer) to evaluate the on-line condition of fired heaters.

2.            Application of lifecycle management solutions for Syngas and Refinery equipment.

3.            Application of risk assessment solutions for Syngas and Refinery equipment.

4.            Application of integrated Quest TruTec services for Syngas and Refinery equipment.

5.            Management of assigned key customer accounts.

6.            Provide technical seminars and training support to Sales and Marketing team.

7.            Maintenance of advanced tools.

8.            Perform other job duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENT

1.      Requires IR ASNT Level II certification, Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and professional Engineer license.

2.            Extensive technical knowledge of Syngas and Refinery operation (including equipment and economics) and application of advanced tools to evaluate the condition of plant equipment.

3.            Must possess excellent analytical, communication (both oral and written), writing and reading skills.

4.            Must have prior experience using Microsoft Office and some programming skills.

5.            Strong organizational, leadership, accounting and mathematical skills required.

6.            Must be able to think creatively, conduct themselves with diplomacy and maintain confidentiality.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work involves field service work in a refinery environment.  No fear of heights or confined spaces.  High noise levels.  Extensive travel, both domestically and internationally.
