Software Sales and Marketing Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

TITLE:                   Software Sales and Marketing Specialist

 

REPORTS TO:         Software Group Manager

                           and North American Sales Manager

 

FUNCTION:            Provide multi-faceted support for sales and marketing efforts of technical engineering software.  The Sales and Marketing Specialist is proficient in the sales process and is knowledgeable in and can organize and execute marketing activities.  The position requires tenacity and flexibility in a dynamic environment.  The sales and marketing specialist will also responsible for assisting with sales, marketing, and marketing communications of the enterprise sales and marketing team.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • Software Sales
    • Respond to inquiries, develop sales leads and opportunities, make outbound sales calls and follow-up on leads generated from conferences and trade shows.
    • Maintain contacts, leads, and opportunities in the Customer Relationship Management system.
    • Meet and grow annual budget targets.
  • Software Marketing
    • Plan, organize, and develop marketing campaigns and promotions to increase visibility.
    • Perform market research to expand and penetrate target markets.
    • Generate market communications such as emails, articles, newsletters, and promotions.
    • Develop and maintain various target market working documents.
    • Assist in the development of materials, demos, web content, and other marketing collateral.
  • Assist with customer service activities such as pre- and post-sales product support.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

 

1.       Marketing or business-related Bachelor’s degree or related experience.

2.       3+ years of sales and marketing experience.

3.       Strong ability for technical and creative writing.

4.       Professional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

5.       Ability to prioritize and work independently, but readily participate in and take on team roles.

6.       Willing to learn, self-driven, highly motivated, and can conduct oneself with diplomacy.

7.       Must be organized and yet flexible to adapt in a dynamic growing company.

8.       Possess proficiency with Sales Force Automation and CRM applications, Microsoft Office software, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat Professional, and have an understanding of editing Web/HTML content.
