Quest Integrity Group Launches Inline Inspection Seminar Series for Downstream Energy Industry - Coast-to-Coast Seminars to Introduce New State-of-the-Art Advancements in Intelligent Pigging for Pipelines and Refineries

June 8, 2009 (SEATTLE, WA)--Quest Integrity Group (www.questintegrity.com), a global provider of inspection and assessment services for the process, pipeline and power industries, today announced a new North American seminar series that will introduce the downstream energy industry to new advancements in inspection and assessment technology for pipelines and serpentine coils within fired heaters.

The Quest inspection seminar series, which is being offered for free to industry professionals, will be held in eight locations across the United States and Canada, from June through August 2009. It will discuss unique challenges faced in assessing the mechanical integrity of unpiggable pipelines and refinery fired heater coils, as well as new inspection technologies, Fitness-for-Service and Remaining Life Assessment approaches that have been generating success for both major and independent energy companies.

“So many of our customers worldwide are experiencing success with Quest’s new inspection technology and engineering assessment capabilities, that we wanted to share these solutions with the industry,” said Quest Vice President and General Manager Rich Roberts. “Rather than waiting for companies to come to us, this seminar series allows us to take the answers to them.”

Attendees may choose to attend seminars on either unpiggable pipelines, fired heater coils, or both. The back-to-back seminars, which include breakfast and lunch offerings, will be held June 23 in Calgary, AB; June 30 in Houston, TX; July 7 in Kenner, LA; July 9 in Mt. Vernon, WA; July 14 in Long Beach, CA; July 21 in Philadelphia, PA; July 23 in Detroit, MI; and August 4 in Concord, CA.

Reservations for the seminars can be made by calling 253-872-9500 ext. 1211 or by e-mailing info@questreliability.com.

Quest Integrity Group to Showcase Groundbreaking Furnace Tube
and Pipeline Inspection Technology at NPRA Conference

May 12, 2009 (HOUSTON, TX) – Quest Integrity Group, a global provider of inspection and assessment services for the process, pipeline and power industries, will showcase its new capabilities for inspecting fired heaters and small diameter pipelines at the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association (NPRA) Reliability and Maintenance Conference,  to be held May 19-21 in Grapevine, Texas.

Quest will feature its latest technology in a presentation entitled “Pigging the Unpiggable”, which will highlight how new intelligent pig technology for both furnace tube and small diameter pipeline inspections is being utilized in the field by major operators worldwide to inspect sections of fired heater coils and pipelines that previously could not be thoroughly inspected. The presentation will be given at the Quest booth, #1431, several times each day while the exhibit hall is open.

Quest Integrity Group, through its two primary operating companies Quest TruTec and Quest Reliability, has established itself as a technology leader in the petrochemical refining industry, with its consistent development of leading-edge tools utilized in its inspection and assessment services. The company recently enhanced its proven FTIS™ intelligent pig technology for fired heater coils in furnace tubes, enabling successful navigation through plugged headers with contoured inserts. It has also developed new ultrasonic inline inspection technology, InVista™, for inspecting pipelines with 3” to 12” diameters.

“Quest is continually working to meet the needs of the energy industry by developing new technologies such as FTIS and InVista, which provide our customers with data that allows them to make operational decisions about critical assets in a more effective and efficient manner,” said Rich Roberts, Quest Vice President and General Manager. “That is why we are seen as more than just a vendor, but rather a partner, to so many companies worldwide.”

Quest Integrity Group provides highly accurate, technologically advanced inspection and assessment solutions that help companies in the process, pipeline and power industries improve operational planning and up-time, lower costs to increase profitability, and reduce operational and safety risks.
