About LifeQuestTM Pipeline
LifeQuest™ Pipeline is a viewer and analysis tool for Quest’s proprietary
InVista™ pipeline inspection data and Fitness-for-Service assessments.
This latest software release from Quest allows clients to quickly and
intuitively view the results of a pipeline inspection. LifeQuest™ Pipeline
features the latest in Windows program design and includes a modern user
interface that allows for the display of data in multiple windows spread across
multiple monitors. Advanced file management allows the user to seamlessly
view gigabytes of inspection data without needing to manually open and close
various files.
Powerful Analysis and Assessment Tool
The customizable graphics displays in LifeQuest™ Pipeline also work well to
display the resolution capabilities of the InVista™ tool. As ultrasonic
inspection is a direct measurement, specific features in the pipeline such as
girth welds, seam welds, dents, prior repairs are able to be viewed quickly and
intuitively in LifeQuest™ Pipeline. And because the data files are linked
directly to the same ones used by Quest’s own data analysts, any feature
identified during the analysis process is tagged and included in the customized
data files delivered with LifeQuest™ Pipeline.
Pipeline Fitness-for-Service
Included with every LifeQuest™ Pipeline deliverable is a full API
579-1/ASME FFS-1 compliant Fitness-For-Service assessment. Using 100% of
the inspection data, Quest engineers calculate the Remaining Strength Factor of
any thinned areas in the pipeline and compute MAOPr along the entire length of
the pipeline. These results can also be compared in LifeQuest to the
results of a B31G or B31G Modified assessment of any selected defect in the
pipeline. With these results included in the data set, in just a few
clicks a user can view detailed thickness and radius data as well as the
results of an advanced engineering assessment of that specific data. With
a full area-based assessment of the data, time and effort can be focused on
flaws and locations which are the most critical to the continued safe operation
of a pipeline.
